In today’s society, obedience is a subject that people in and out of the church do not like to listen to, talk about, or practice. Inside the church, Pastor’s often preach on the topic of obedience, and usually, the congregation shuts down or hears the message, but fails to apply it to their lives. In America, we just don’t like being told what to do. Throughout the Old Testament Jesus presents a theme of, “If you obey me…” such and such will happen. Rules are made for our benefit though. Rebelling is often what we do, but obedience should be our priority. Jesus always wanted what was best for His people and He still does today. He wants you to always depend on Him and on nothing else. Tune in as Pastor Kelley brings us a message about the importance of obeying God’s Word and depending on Christ alone.

As the children of Israel traveled, they would eventually stop. When they came to a stopping place, their tents were arranged in a certain order. When election time is around the corner, don’t you just hate receiving phone calls, seeing those signs all up and down the roads, getting mailing, and seeing commercials on TV as candidates try to solicit your vote? During this whole process candidates are trying to etch their name in your mind so that when you go to the polls, their name will stand out on the ballets. That works a lot of the time because many people will not even research the candidates. They vote for the name they know. What if we as the church were so keen on the world knowing the name of Jesus Christ, what would happen? What if we as the church worked just as hard as the candidates and their parties to get the name of Jesus and what He is all about and who He is out to the unchurched? Out to the world? Tune in as Pastor Kelley talks about the importance of a name and reputation.
